More exhibitors from Europe at German trade fairs      From 2006 to 2007 the number of exhibitors from European countries who attended trade fairs in Germany rose by more than 3 %. By contrast, due mainly to the schedule of the trade fair programme, the overall number of exhibitors from abroad remained almost constant, rising by 1 %, with 90,000 exhibitors participating. Marginal growth in exhibition hall space     At German trade fair venues attracting at least national attendance available hall space in 2013 will total 2.8 million m², a rise of only 1 % over the figure for 1 January 2008. AUMA Annual Press Conference     For many entrepreneurs the focus is increasingly on trade fairs, in particular in order to improve dialogue with the customer. Exhibitor attendance at the 139 international trade fairs in Germany in 2007 rose by 3.8 % over the figures for the previous events.    [continue]  
 
Trade fairs are first-choice means     Almost all decision-makers in German business, exactly 86 %, attend trade fairs. In their view trade fairs represent one of the most important instruments assisting them during the purchasing and procurement process. These are the findings of a LINK Institute survey commissioned by AUMA, which examined decision-makers’ attitudes as to the usefulness of trade fairs.    [continue]
